About Iris Larrinaga
My name is Iris Larrinaga. My professional career was as a Physical Therapist for many years. I have a Master's degree in Special Education and a PhD in Anatomy.
In 2020, I lost my husband of over 40 years to a devastating, incurable and untreatable neurological disease. Initially, I had great strength to do what I had to do after he died.
But then I entered into a great sorrow. The feeling of grief escalated when the phone no longer rang and people no longer visited. I entered into a new, unpredictable rollercoaster of emotions that I could not get off: fear, depression, anger, loneliness, despair.
Going through grief is like going through a tunnel. The bad news is that the tunnel is very dark. The good news is there is a way out.
I share this deeply personal event to let you know how the loss of a loved one has affected and enabled me to better understand what you are going through. I know how difficult this is and how much you're hurting.
I will help you get where you want to go.
